How Many Angels Were at the Tomb?
Question:
"How many angels were at the tomb—one or two?"
Answer:
The question has arisen simply
because Matthew and Mark mention one angel, whereas Luke and John refer to two.
There is no conflict if there were two angels but Matthew and Mark quote the one
who was a spokesperson.
It is like when we say "the news said today that cabbage is bad
for your health" when what we mean is that "a reporter found found out
that a study concluded cabbage is bad." There is no contradiction in these
statements, its just a different way to say the same thing.
